The First 100!

I feel that when you have typed 100 pages of the novel you are writing, this is cause for celebration. I've reached this milestone on the third novel in the Mary Mack series. In theses trying times,  I think it is important to celebrate the little victories, because God knows, good news of any kind is few and far between.  In my basement, I always like to have a bottle of champagne just in case something good happens ( I'm also a big fan of brunch). The simple act of having that bottle is like a reminder that fires can't burn forever and even in the middle of a crap storm, there is an eye of a hurricane where there will be a peaceful pause. If you don't acknowledge that pause, it will go away without you realizing it ever existed and your life will seem like an endless train, hauling manure while on fire.  I am far from an optimist by a long shot but I do believe in data and science and the science always shows things run  out of energy.
